How to Apply
Applications for study at National Sun Yat-sen University can only be submitted online.
Online application services opens for fall semester: January 15th to March 15th
Online application services opens for spring semester: August 1st to September 30th
Before making your application, Please refer to the website below
Please complete the application procedure online, upload all requires documents and press ”Submit”. Only applications completed and received before the application due date can be accepted.

Required Documents
1. Two (2) recommendation letters.
2. Study plan (including research proposal) in Chinese or English.
3. Autobiography (in Chinese or English).
4. Master Thesis; draft or equivalent works are acceptable if master thesis is not available.
5. Language Requirement：
(E) Minimum English proficiency for non-native English speaking applicants: TOEFL score iBT-TOEFL of 61 / CBT-TOEFL of 173/ Paper-based TOEFL of 500 / IELTS of 5.0.
(C) Minimum Chinese proficiency: TOCFL score level 2 or New HSK score level 2; or certificate(s) indicating a minimum of 360 hours of Chinese learning in Taiwan (or a minimum of 720 hours abroad).
